3 in 1 rear lights

After removing the rear light and licenseplate holder I wanted to achieve the OEM look again, so I opted for this 3-in-1 with white/transparent covers. The 3 in 1 mounting is a universal stus in M10, but as mentioned, it had to look OEM so I would design something like it came from factory like this.

I started by creating a 3D drawing that I could 3D print in ABS.

I don't have a 3D scanner, so I have to measure everything on an OEM part for the basic dimensions and then modify it to fit both the bikes fender struts mounting points and the new 3 in 1 aftermarket lights.

As you can see,  it's a process of trial and error, these are the test pieces I printed to make modifications so it will fit like a glove.

But the 6th edition was good and fit perfectly

Testfitting

A spacer that slopes so the indicator can be properly tightened against the frame. The indicator mount is secured by a stainless steel M6 nut and bolt.

Testing after soldering the wires

Done,  ... just need to create a red reflector that fits in the fender.
